Meet Marianne & Joe, The Founders of Horses Healing Hearts, Inc.

After a 20 year separation from horses and owning their own business, Marianne and her husband Joe knew they needed to get back to their roots and follow their hearts.  They decided to purchase a small farm in Salisbury in 2006 that is now known as the Lazy J Ranch and the home of Horses Healing Hearts, Inc.

After opening the Lazy J Ranch to the Salisbury community, Marianne and Joe quickly realized how difficult it was for people to afford the cost of attending programs and workshops not covered by traditional medical insurance or other funding sources so they decided to start Horses Healing Hearts, Inc. a 501c3 non-profit.  The organization aims to fund tuition costs and overhead expenses for Equine Assisted Learning, Horse Powered Ready & Math, Therapeutic Riding, and Equine Assisted Therapy held at the ranch and other farms throughout New England . The funds raised by the Horses Healing Hearts, Inc. will enable people of all ages and backgrounds to attend these life-changing programs for free.
